Weekend in Churchaven, West Coast

A serene sanctuary settled within the West Coast National Park, we were invited to join our friends at a traditional fishing cottage during the springtime flower season…a magical time of the year where the fields are filled with the most amazing blossoms and color.

The house we stayed at is on the edge of a lagoon, with the most amazing calm weather and energy…slow coffee in the mornings, long beach walks and social lunches and dinners, good for the soul.

The photos I managed to take capture some of the sublime color and blossoms we saw, I have a technique I have developed to swing the camera along the ground and through the plants and hope for the best…offering a different perspective of the landscape we often don’t see as humans, maybe what a bumble bee would experience…all shot on my Fuji, love the color and feeling of the images 😉
